On Friday 28th June, we have organised a screening of the film “Shadow World” with intro and discussion led by the author Andrew Feinstein
The screening will be from 7pm at St Johns Church, Broadway, Stratford, London, E15 1NG Admission is free but donations are welcome.
The film “Shadow World” provides a unique insight into the global arms trade, a business that counts its profits in billions and its costs in human lives.
Released in 2016, director Johan Grimonprez creates a montage of archival news footage and interviews, where we observe the shadow world of the global arms trade.
Based upon the 2011 book by Andrew Feinstein, “The Shadow World: Inside the Global Arms Trade.” Andrew will be introducing the film and answering questions on the night
We see a world where corruption, lies, and greed drive covert relationships between politicians, industry executives, military and intelligence officials, and arms dealers.
Their aim is to perpetuate war to generate more profit, no matter what the human cost might be.
