RDEZ is the Royal Docks Enterprise Zone.
It is the body responsible for all businesses in the area, including the ExCeL Exhibition Centre. We’re calling on them to speak out and demand the Excel to say NO to hosting events that violate human rights, like arms fairs that promote weapons used to commit torture and oppression. .
The mayor of London Sadiq Khan recently said of the DSEI arms fair “I will take any opportunity available to prevent this event from taking place at the Royal Docks in future years.” and he told organisers to “reconsider hosting the fair in London in future”
The meeting of the RDEZ programe board starts at 10.30am … and will be at City Hall, the Queens Walk, London SE1 2AA
We will be handing our petition to the board calling on them to to take action to stop the DSEI Arms Fair being held at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in 2021 and declare the Royal Docks as an Arms Trade Free Zone.
The petition already has over 5,000 signatures. you can still sign here for the next few days
